Born May 10th, 1970 in a US Naval Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan...(Bobby Orr scored a big goal that day) .
Graduated from Melrose (MA.) High School in 1988 and Bridgewater State College in 1994 (redshirt junior year...twice...explaining my 6 year plan).
Miraculously found a women that would have me and was married in June 2008 to...as they say on all of the game shows...my beautiful wife Kylie.
The married members of the PFW in Progress crew have definitely out kicked our collective coverage and have found attractive women that put up with us.
Out of college was hired at SportsRadio 850 WEEI with the incredibly important job of handing out bumper stickers and key chains outside of Foxboro Stadium and Fenway Park. Eventually began producing and engineering Red Sox, Celtics and Boston College broadcasts...finally producing WEEI's Big Show before fate smiled on me and the New England Patriots needed someone to hand out bumper stickers and key chains.
Actually, among other things, I was brought in to produce our radio content, commercials and the in stadium entertainment (unless you ask Andy...and then I don't do anything). Along the way I have beefed up my resume and it now includes mastering computer solitaire and making sure the PFW crew gets lunch in a timely fashion...which I actually punted on and now two-gender does it.
2008 is my 11th season with the Patriots...I survived the Pete Carroll era, the border war and Bryan Morry. I was on the field when Drew got crushed, when Adam kicked it through the snow and when he nailed it from 37, when the fans threw celebratory snow and for the unveiling of 3 Championship banners. I have confetti from the field in New Orleans in 2001, I've been to the White House with the Superbowl Champs and spend my afternoons with Fred, Paul, Andy...and whoever is writing for the paper this week.
I'm Gary Grodecki and I approve this Bio.
